24/7 Emergency Care at Nepean Animal Hospital
If your pet needs urgent attention, WellPet Nepean is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week throughout the Christmas period. Our experienced team is ready to provide emergency care whenever it’s needed, so you can rest assured your pet is in safe hands.
Please note that the Mulgoa Road upgrade may cause lane closures along Mulgoa Road and occasional restrictions on M4 exits in both directions. We recommend checking live traffic updates to find the quickest route to the clinic.
Mountains & St Clair Animal Hospitals
Our Mountains and St Clair clinics will be closed on public holidays. While staff will be on-site at Mountains Animal Hospital to care for boarders, there will be no admissions or discharges on these days.
Public Holiday Surcharges
Please note that public holiday surcharges apply at all our clinics during the Christmas and New Year period. These surcharges help us maintain 24/7 staffing and high-quality care when demand is higher.
Stray Animals and Injured Wildlife
We understand that the festive season can lead to lost or injured animals. Please note:
- Uninjured stray animals: Due to increased demand over the holiday period, we physically cannot hold any healthy stray pets. We are able to scan them for a microchip, and attempt to contact the owner.
- Injured wildlife and stray animals: We are happy to provide care for injured wildlife and injured stray pets. Our team will assess and treat the animal, and liaise with wildlife carers or relevant authorities as needed.
This ensures urgent cases are prioritised and animals receive the care they need.
